Event Description
The ceremony of conferring degrees and awarding diplomas and certificates is a time-honoured ritual performed at academic institutions throughout the world. It is the moment when awards are formally made, and as such is a celebration of the academic achievements of the graduands.
Please refer to the University of Divinity website for detailed information on the graduation process including: how and when to register; academic dress; graduating “in absentia”; and other information.
There are two upcoming Graduation ceremonies:
Adelaide | 7:30pm on Friday 2 December 2016 at Immanuel College Chapel, Novar Gardens
Melbourne | 7:30pm on Friday 24 March 2017 at St Patrick's Cathedral, East Melbourne
May I invite guests to the ceremony?
Yes. The total number of guests you may invite varies from ceremony to ceremony and depends on the size of the venue and the number of students accepted for graduation. When you register online you will be asked to confirm the number of guests you are bringing. If tickets for guests are required, this will be advised through the online registration service. Guests are admitted free of charge in all cases.
Schedule
Students arrive and register
5:00-6:30pm - students arrive at Immanuel College for registration, to collect academic dress, and robe.
Seating
7:00pm - Students must be robed and seated in the Chapel.
Guests arrival
7:00pm - Guests are invited to arrive and take their seats in the chapel from 7-7:25pm.
Ceremony Begins
7:30pm - the Ceremony commences with the Academic Procession.
